Pesta Malam Indonesia – Celebrities visit

The Pesta Malam Indonesia stars were in LCCT office today. AirAsia is the official airline for this event. I was in the meeting during their arrival. Lobby was served as the welcome area. Staff were trying to rub shoulder with the Indonesia celebrities. It’s like a mini media conference where fans line up to get poster signature. Luckily the meeting was ended earlier and I join the party as event photographer. Personal photography was not allowed. It didn’t disappoint us and everyone get their poster autographed.

Sunset at LCCT

I was carrying camera for days to office. Finally today is clear sky and good sunset awaited. It was so peaceful at surrounding area just a kilometres away from the LCCT complex. I use a long lens to zoom in to interesting subject – petrol silo and power plant. Not to forget the golden sunset. Have you enjoy sunset today?

AirAsia 50 millionth guest

AirAsia welcome the 50 millionth guest this evening, Ms Wendy. Being such a young fleet and carry over 50 million guest shown how potential the LCC (low cost carrier) market is. Once again I brought my camera to shoot around. Most probably you know LCCT is illuminates by natural light, so the environment is not very camera friendly and using flash light is only solution. There is no ceiling to do bounce flash effect thus I attached a A4 paper on top of my flash light. I am the only one who using this on field. Elroy laugh at me saying tonight TV news might show that ugly flash setup.

Tony reached early and welcoming Wendy with few other VIPs. Minister of Tourism Dato Azalina was arrived later. The bagpipe band escorting VIPs with their tunes. Tony gave a simple speech and emphasis more routes to be introduced soon. Dato Azalina continues with her support to place AirAsia at Subang Airport. Although it’s not a officially statement, but shown that it’s a win-win situation to reopen the old airport. Then the ceremony come to closing by photograph Wendy and AirAsia Cabin Crew which in famous red uniform.

Another surprise was seeing a staff with Sony A100 too. Too busy shooting and we didn’t manage to discuss much. He is using twin kit lens but the event lighting sure giving him a tough time.

Chicken rice

The chicken rice corner at LCCT food garden is having promotion. Each chicken rice or soto is sell at RM2.00. I have no idea why this promotion comes in. The stall has been open 3 months and they sell chicken rice, porridge, soto and fried rice. Not to say poor business but still sell well. Perhaps an effort to encourage more people to try out their cook or there are too many chickens lying around…..

This LCCT chicken rice is typical Malay cooking style. Or it’s call Hainan chicken rice for Chinese. Usually this is to fry it slowly with less oil. Chinese or Hong Kong style chicken rice is my favorite because it’s grilled with special soy sauce. It has better taste than Hainan and tender bite.
